I sold everything, including my house. Here’s what I did with the money…

I’m writing to tell you about an amazing opportunity I have! This March I am going to Swaziland on a mission trip with my church. Going to Swaziland has always been a dream of mine, but health has not permitted me to go until now. As I am working to help stimulate the economy and started a nonprofit to assist the women of Swaziland, my heart just about feels like it’s going to pop with excitement.

I’m especially excited to be visiting Ekudzeni, Swaziland as it has held a special place in my heart lately. As some of you know, I have sponsored the women (bomake) of these carepoints by selling my home and using the money to launch a nonprofit- I feel as if they are my family- along with financial support, I pray for them daily and send letters letting them know how loved they are and offering help in the business world. I hope to have the opportunity to meet these women and give them all a very special hug! They truly humble me.

K2 the Church along with Children’s Hopechest are committed to help in Ekudzeni, Swaziland by helping provide for orphan’s spiritual, physical, educational, emotional and social needs. We do this in 2 ways:

-Sponsorship: The people in our church already sponsor over 200 children in Ekudzeni in their monthly involvement (care, food, water, healthcare, education, discipleship, etc.) Our special friend Sfiso is one of the children who receive monthly support along with the Bomake, whom I help support with my Timbali project.

-Relationships: Our church has been and will continue to send teams to Ekudzeni every year for the next five years of our partnership with the church there, and I’ve been accepted to go with the next team and serve alongside these people whom I respect so deeply.

Humbly, I’m asking for your prayer and partnership in a couple ways for this incredible opportunity, which means so so much to me:

Prayer: Most importantly, will you be committed to praying for me as I go out on this trip? Pray I build relationships with the people in Ekudzeni as well as the team I will be working with. Pray that we will be able to meet the needs of the people who are living there, and please pray that I will be able to put myself aside as I care for others.

Financial Partnership: There is a cost to go on this trip (approximately $4200) and while it is significant, I believe that the value to meeting the meets of the people of Ekudzeni and building relationships with them is well worth it! All team members (including me) will be contributing to their own trip expenses, but much of the cost will come from individuals like you who believe in this mission and the people going. Would you consider partnering with me to make this trip poss

ible? Thank you for taking the time to consider this. All financial partnerships are tax-deductible gifts to K2 the Church and may be done by mail or internet as described on the form I’ve included.

I’m so grateful for the chance to share my vision and passion with you for meeting the needs of others through missions. I look forward to sharing this experience with you in the coming months through updates about the trip!

With Love,

Sam Harris
